Questions owners ask

What is my business worth?
Under $500,000, about 2 times a year of owner earnings by the IBBA's closed deals. Nationally, sellers got 94% of their asking price in 2025 (closed-sale data, 2025 year in review).
How long does it take to sell a business?
6 to 10 months for most Main Street businesses, and service businesses closed in a median 167 days in 2025.
How much does a business broker charge?
My fee is competitive and comes out of the sale proceeds at closing. No retainer, and the valuation is free for qualified business owners.
Do I need a broker, or can I sell it myself?
You can sell it yourself, but a broker brings the buyers: nearly 2,500 buyers on my listing alerts plus the Sunbelt Business Brokers of Arizona network, every one under NDA.
Will my employees or customers find out?
No: the listing never names the business, and every buyer signs an NDA before learning which one it is.
How do I choose a business broker?
Ask how many businesses like yours they have sold and who you will deal with day to day; with me, it is me from the first call to closing.
Is now a good time to sell?
For a profitable service business, yes. The national median small-business sale price was $350,000 in the third quarter of 2026, up 17% from a year ago (closed-sale data, Q3 2026 report), and franchise resales sell the same way. How a franchise resale works.

What is your business worth?

Free valuation. No retainer. Paid only at closing. Your name stays private until a buyer signs an NDA.
